Doula Favorites

Postpartum products

and bay area services

Purchasing items for you and your new baby is a fun part of nesting. So here is a little list of favorites!

I tell my doula clients that there is no need to purchase anything but the basics before baby arrives.

If you’re overwhelmed with choices, wait and see if your unique baby will actually need any of the popular “extras”.

Your postpartum doula can witness you and your baby, and make informed recommendations.

Many parents have success finding used items for lower prices. Utilize “buy nothing” facebook groups, Golden Gate Mothers group, second-hand baby stores (Chloe’s Closet in SF), or borrowing items from friends.

WELEDA Calendula Diaper Cream

12% Zinc Oxide, great for diaper rash.

I find it easier to wipe off than some of the other Zinc Oxide diaper creams.

My Brest Friend Nursing Pillow

Love the firm, flat cushion for supporting baby’s straight spine. Also, the back support and strap helps pillow (and baby) stay in place through wiggling and adjusting!
